Before city inspections for the structural, electrical or roofing. Before the plumbing or heating and cooling. Before any Spera Home is passed for sale it must meet the standards of the toughest quality control inspector: Lou Spera. Lou doesn’t mess around. After all, it’s his name on every home. Lou and Arlene Spera have been Quality Control Inspectors since 1993 when they began building custom homes at affordable prices in Pueblo and Pueblo West. The couple is directly involved in every house of every home that’s built. The attention to detail has won Spera Homes numerous awards for excellence over the years including a Parade of Homes Best Overall Home. In 2000 Lou was recognized with the Pueblo Association of Home Builder’s top honor of Builder Of the Year. Very active with the Home Builder group, Lou has constantly challenged other builders to excel in craftsmanship, and it currently the only builder in the Pueblo area to construct homes under $200,000 that are not only E-Star rated, but also qualify for the Built Green program.
